1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Held, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Held is a private prayer app that helps trusted prayer partners build a consistent prayer rhythm. The app facilitates text and voice prayer requests and responses between connected partners. Held is provided "as is" for personal spiritual practice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Held. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You will not use the app for harassment, spam, or abusive content
• You will not attempt to access other users' data
• You will not reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the app
• You will not use the app for any illegal purpose

5. Account

You need an email address to create an account. You can sign up with email/password or Google OAuth. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information.

6. Content

You retain ownership of your prayer content. By using Held, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (delivering it to your prayer partner). We do not read, analyze, or use your prayer content for any other purpose.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Held offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Subscription payments are processed through Google Play. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policy. You can cancel your subscription at any time from Google Play.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can request account deletion at any time by visiting held.app/delete-account or emailing support@held.app. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

10. Intellectual Property

Held, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Held and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without permission.

11. Disclaimer

Held is a tool to facilitate prayer and spiritual connection. It is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any spiritual, emotional, or other outcomes from using the app. Held is not a replacement for professional counseling, pastoral care, or medical advice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Held shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Held operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
